According to the Desert Sun: “One person is dead and three others injured after a shooting near a Los Angeles-area polling place, a LA fire official said. At least one nearby polling place was locked down, the county registrar said.”
Original Story starts here:
A shooting occurred sometime after 2 p.m. in a location near Fourth Street and Orange Avenue in Azusa, Ca, just east of Los Angeles, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Although few details of the shooting are known, according to Azusa Police Department Officer Jerry Willison, “This is a very volatile and critical situation.”
The Los Angeles County Fired Department has responded to the incident and reportedly are treating four patients for injuries that were not revealed because the incident was “not contained.”
It was unclear whether any officers were injured in the shooting, Willison said.
The Times further reported that Azusa Union School District issued a lockdown for Slauson Middle and Mountain View Elementary schools around 2:15 p.m, and a nearby daycare center and preschool are also on lockdown locked down.
