Wikileaks: Robert Creamer ‘Close to Robby Mook’

A new batch of Wikileaks emails, hacked from the account of Hillary Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, reveals that left-wing strategists advising the campaign considered controversial Democratic operative Robert Creamer to be “close to Robby Mook,” Clinton’s campaign manager.

“Just wanted to pass along this note I sent to Bob Creamer, who as you may know is consulting for the DNC and is close to Robby Mook,” said political consultant Michael Lux in an email to Neera Tanden of the left-wing Center for American Progress, who he saw as close to Podesta and the “bridge to the DC, more establishment oriented progressive world.”

The context of the email, dated December 17, 2015, was concern that Clinton was not doing enough to satisfy the concerns of left-wing Democrats, who were increasingly attracted to the candidacy of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

After James O’Keefe and Project Veritas released hidden video showing Creamer and an associate at the Democracy Partners consulting firm planning to incite violence at Trump rallies through a tactic called “bird-dogging,” Mook said that Hillary Clinton had no direct contact.

But later videos revealed that Clinton had approved at least one plan personally herself — though not by speaking directly to Creamer — and that Creamer was on daily conference calls with the campaign.

O’Keefe and Project Veritas also revealed that Democrat consultants were using a system of text messages — the “Pony Express” — to coordinate between the campaign and super PACs.
