HOLLYWOOD — “Superman,” “Wolverine,” and “Captain America” had three very different reactions to the destruction of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.
“It’s very disrespectful and very bad,” Superman told Breitbart News about the unsavory act. “Because if I don’t like him, who cares?” He added, “But you don’t have to do that. This is vandalism.”
Superman said that he was “embarrassed” to know that there was no security or cops around to patrol and prevent the vandalization of Trump’s star.
James Otis identified himself as the man responsible for dressing up as a construction worker and taking a sledgehammer and a pick ax to Trump’s star, shattering it to pieces.
Otis, who is an heir to the Otis family’s elevator fortune, reportedly told CNN in an interview on the Walk of Fame Wednesday morning that he carried out the act to help the 11 women who have accused Trump of sexually assaulting them, and other victims whom he said could come forward in the future.
Meanwhile, to Superman’s left, Wolverine said, “It made my day” seeing Trump’s star destroyed.
“It was kind of funny. But you’ve got to ask yourself a question: Was it a hater, who doesn’t think he deserves his name on the boulevard — which he probably doesn’t. Or is it some crazed, dumb-ass super fan, which wouldn’t be out of the ordinary since he has so many of ’em.”
Captain America was a bit more political in his response and reaction to the destruction. “Well, I understand that a lot of people have gotten upset over it. Not everybody agrees with the same opinion. But if it was up to me, I think I should be the president.”
Asked if he plans on running, Captain America said, “Of course. As soon as the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. give me the means to be connected to the right people.”
