U.S. Marines policed their own, reporting a social media post of a Marine with a rifle and the caption “coming to a gay bar near you!” not a week after 49 died in an Islamic terror attack on an Orlando gay nightclub.

Fellow Marines brought the post to the attention of officials, said Maj. Staci Reidinger, according to the Associated Press. It appears the post originated in SnapChat and was subsequently posted to the closed Facebook group CampMENdletonResale with the words “Too soon?” according to local Fox 5 News.

The Facebook group’s administrator Michael Moss deleted the post and banned the person from the group. Moss told the AP that 25,000 member group made up of “active duty and veteran service members” sees about 3,000 posts a week and that he found this post “very insensitive and possibly dangerous.”

The Marine in the photo, as well as the one who made the post, have been identified, a Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) spokesman told Marine Corps Times.

An MEF statement assured that Marine officials are taking appropriate actions. “The Marine Corps does not tolerate discrimination based on sexual orientation, race, gender or religion,” the statement posted to the Times read. “…This type of behavior and mindset will not be allowed, and it is not consistent with the core values of honor, courage and commitment that are demonstrated by the vast majority of Marines on a daily basis.”

49 people died and at least 53 were injured when a Muslim man carried out an Islamic terror attack on a gay nightclub and attributed the mass murder to the terror group ISIS. It was determined to be the deadliest mass shooting in American history. Details of the attack continue to reveal deeper roots in fundamental Islam. The attacker’s wife is said to have known about the attack ahead of time. Reports are now revealing that the attack also signed over his house to relatives shortly before carrying out the mass murder.
