Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon has launched the fifth location of her ping pong social club, known as SPiN, in San Francisco.
The ping pong playground features table tennis, a DJ booth, a full drinks and food menu, and pop art that adorns the walls.
SPiN had its soft launch on Monday and will hold a grand opening on May 19th. The San Francisco location is 690 Folsom St. (at Third Street).
SPiN first opened in New York seven years ago. CEO Pieter Vanermen, who moved from Belgium to New York two years ago to expand the SPiN brand, told the San Francisco Chronicle that coming to San Francisco was a “no-brainer” due to the large techie population in the Bay Area, and because ping-pong tables are prominent throughout the industry.
Sarandon reportedly founded the company with Jonathan Bricklin, Franck Raharinosy and Andrew Gordon.

Entrance into SPiN is free. Renting a table ranges in price from $19-$29 for 30 minutes and $29-$49 for an hour. SPiN also offers memberships.
Hours of operation for the San Francisco location are 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday-Monday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, SPiN will remain open until 1 a.m. and until 2 a.m. on Thursday-Saturday.
Other SPiN locations include Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto, Canada.
