LOS ANGELES, March 28 (UPI) — Although you might not be able to say a lot in 140 charters, Twitter can still be a dangerous place to speak.
The Los Angeles Police Department are investigating a death threat made against Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul’s wife, on Twitter on March 14, according to TMZ Sports.
TMZ reported that the tweet read: “@CP3 if I knew where you lived I’d probably kill your wife [Jada] and frame you for it. I watch dateline I get away with it.”
After seeing the troublesome tweet, Clippers security informed the LAPD, who launched an investigation to find the culprit. TMZ reported that Paul has another internet troll on his Instagram account. No arrests have been made in either case, according to TMZ.
Paul, 30, is averaging 19.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game this season. The Clippers lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-90 on March 13 and fell 108-87 to the San Antonio Spurs March 15.
