Female Gym Teacher Accused of Sex with Male Students

On Monday, a female gym teacher from Las Plumas High School who allegedly had sex with two male students appeared in court, Action News Now reported.

Lindsay Himmelspach, 32, was arrested on Friday after an anonymous caller left a message at the school about students having inappropriate relationships with a physical education teacher, according to NBC News. The superintendent contacted the sheriff’s office.

Himmelspach stands accused of having sex with a boy from Las Plumas High School and another teen from Prospect High School. The sheriff’s office reported that the sexual episodes occurring last summer were “brief in nature.” On Monday, Himmelspach was released with the proviso that she avoid any contact with the two teens.

The Butte County Sheriff’s Office stated that Himmelspach, who allegedly exchanged nude photos with the two students, was charged on suspicion of having unlawful sexual intercourse with two minors, communicating with them for the purpose of committing sexual acts and communicating with them to commit a lewd or lascivious act, according to The Los Angeles Times.

According to the school’s website, Himmelspach taught the use of weights and conditioning. Prior to teaching at Las Plumas, the ten-year-veteran taught at Oroville High School.
