A bizarre video of a California woman who abruptly stopped her car in the middle of a road and left the vehicle as it rolled into oncoming traffic has gone viral on YouTube, reaching over 2.8 million views since it was posted on September 1.
Video of the woman, identified as 22-year-old Jasmine Lacey of San Bernardino, was captured on the dash cam of the vehicle behind her. It shows Lacey abruptly stopping her silver Hyundai in the left-hand lane of Harbor Boulevard in La Habra, according to the local CBS News affiliate in Los Angeles.
Lacey then calmly exited the car, leaving the driver’s side door open. The camera captures her abandoned vehicle rolling away as it traverses the barrier and crosses into oncoming traffic causing a multi-car accident.
CBS, quoting the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, reports that Lacey was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) and was released from custody this past Saturday due to “insufficient evidence to support a criminal complaint.”
The video was posted on YouTube by user UlikeUC Here. Several comments on the YouTube page included mention of the unique music being played in the background of the car that captured the peculiar incident.
A user by the name of McFly wrote “I don’t know what’s more bizarre, the accident or the person filming the video who seemingly doesn’t react to what is happening at all but rather makes an orgasmic sound and continues enjoying the weird music…”.
