Pleasing cat lovers everywhere, but likely disappointing many dogs, the Sacramento Fire Department rescued a cat trapped in a car’s engine compartment Wednesday, according to News10.
The cat, trapped in a vehicle parked at a McDonalds, was nicknamed McNugget, and taken to an animal shelter, according to the Sacramento Fire Department Facebook page. The page stated, “The crew from Truck 16 removed a trapped kitten from the engine compartment of a car in a McDonalds parking lot today. McNugget was transported to the Front Street Animal Shelter, where he will be available for adoption after being medically cleared.”
Some cats seem to lack the intelligence to stay out of car engines; similar rescues occurred in Queens, New York, in August 2014, Phoenix, Arizona, in May 2014, and Little Rock, Arkansas, and Upper Marlboro, Maryland, in July 2015.
