Having gone a full three weeks without pumping a fundraising dinner in California, President Obama announced he is coming back next week, this time to Los Angeles to raise money for Democrats running in 2016.
Although his itinerary has not been announced, from L.A. Obama will have a shorter trip to Palm Springs to play golf, an activity he frequently enjoys while on his many fundraising junkets.
The Los Angeles Times reported that ICM Partners cofounder Chris Silbermann and his wife, Julia Franz will host the fundraiser on March 12, which will include a “roundtable discussion.” The price for the event is $33,400 per couple to be donated to the Democratic National Committee.
A message to potential donors stated, “In 2015 the DNC is focused on investing resources in opposition research and press, the voter file and analytics infrastructure, voter protection, and building our state networks.”
The president’s west coast trip to San Francisco in February for a DNC fundraiser focused on cyber security. The Times reported that Obama also spent the weekend playing golf with friends in Palm Springs
