It’s not quite Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball,” but it is naked breaking-and-entering, allegedly. And everywhere, apparently.
Two burglaries featuring naked suspects occurred roughly 400 miles apart in California on Monday. In Mira Mesa, an officer had to shoot a suspect who had burglarized a home, then resisted arrest after remaining impervious to two shots from a stun gun.
David Bacoka, who was alerted to the break-in at his mother’s house after she first called 911 and then her son, told ABC10 San Diego, “She said there was a naked guy trying to break in through all the windows–pounding on the windows and doors trying to get inside the house.”
Roughly 400 miles north, in Modesto, two people robbed a home where a mother and her two small children were asleep. The mother recounted to Fox40, “He kicked in my door. When I heard [the woman’s] voice and I got up, they were already digging through stuff. I walk over and see them, and the door is open to my garage,.”
Undeterred by the mother’s presence, the two suspects kept plowing through items in the garage. The mother reported later, “This guy and woman are digging through my stuff, and the guy is butt naked.” Russell Peavy, 43, left his clothes and bicycle in the house; Elisa Muzquiz, 44 is the other suspect. Peavy has been charged with home invasion and possessing drug paraphernalia. Muzquiz, also faces charges.
