'Forrest Gump' at 20: Meet the Army Veteran Who Played the Young Gump

Hard to believe Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump first ran across movie screens 20 years ago.

It’s true. The epic hit theaters in 1994 and went on to win six Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actor ( Hanks).

Entertainment Tonight looks back at the iconic film, introducing us to the lad who played the young Forrest Gump in the film. Turns out Michael Conner Humphreys also joined the Army, much like Forrest did, and he shares set anecdotes with the show.
