The cause of a U.S. Navy sailor’s death during a routine parachute training jump remains unknown, reports CNN. The accident occurred in the desert near the southern California city of El Centro on Monday.
The sailor has been identified as 31-year-old Bradley S. Cavner of Coronado, California, a decorated Navy Seal who had won the Bronze Star and served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Authorities are currently investigating details of the accident to determine the cause of the freefall jumper’s death.
