President Barack Obama is visiting California this week–and that promises to make traffic even worse than usual in Los Angeles. Drivers are being urged to avoid Century City and Bel Air, as the president’s visit will see portions of West L.A. near Beverly Glen Road closed, from Sunset Boulevard south to Pico Boulevard.
The president will be receiving the highest award from Steven Spielberg’s USC Shoah Foundation for his work on human rights–despite having a record that the Washington Post‘s Jackson Diehl has called “dangerously silent on human rights.” Obama will also attend Democratic fundraisers throughout the state this week.
