TEL AVIV – On Monday, a rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip aimed at nearby Israeli communities.
At 11:52 Jerusalem time, the Israel Defense Forces sent the following statement to news agencies here, including Breitbart Jerusalem:
Moments ago a rocket was launched from the Gaza Strip at southern Israel. Initial reports indicate that the rocket hit an open area in the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council. No injuries have been reported. Forces are conducting searches in the area.
On Friday, Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired at least four rockets toward Israeli border communities. Israel retaliated by striking Hamas targets inside Gaza.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that “Israel won’t tolerate any rocket fire from Gaza into Israel.
“The IDF will respond to such provocation. Israel holds Hamas responsible for all rocket from the Gaza Strip into Israel. Hamas is obligated to prevent [rocket] firing,” Netanyahu said.
