Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson says a wax figure depicting him in a museum in Paris needs to be updated with “important details” — “starting with my skin color.”
Johnson announced on Sunday that he will be reaching out to the Musée Grévin in Paris, France, after the museum unveiled what he believes is a botched wax figure of himself.
The Jumanji star shared a video featuring comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. making fun of the wax figure, writing, “I knew my boy @jamesjeffersonj had this Rock wax statue in his roasting crosshairs.”

In the video, Jefferson Jr. can be heard mocking the wax figure, saying, “This is a wax figure of The Rock, you know, black ass Samoan The Rock? That’s how Paris thinks he looks.”
“They turned The Rock into a pebble. They turned The Rock into an albino Rock or something like that. It looks like The Rock ain’t ever seen the sun a day in his life,” the comedian continued. “You make The Rock look like he David Beckham. It looks like The Rock is about to be part of the royal family.”
“I’m lowkey offended,” Jefferson Jr. said. “How [are] you just going to take all the n***a out of Dwayne Johnson? It don’t look like him no more — it looks like he works at H&R Block or something like that.”
“If this is how y’all felt when y’all lost ‘The Little Mermaid,’ I understand. Let’s do Uno Reverse, y’all get ‘The Little Mermaid’ back, the mythical creature, and we get The Rock back,” Jefferson Jr. added, making a joke about a black actress having played Ariel in The Little Mermaid (2023).
In the caption of his Instagram post, Johnson said he “legit belly laughed” at the part of the video in which Jefferson Jr. commented on The Little Mermaid.
“For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at ‘updating’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements – starting with my skin color,” Johnson added.
Meanwhile, the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in United States appears to be getting its celebrity wax figures right.
On Sunday, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker posted a series of photos of himself with his wax figure at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, writing, “Come say hi to my clone.”
The Madame Tussauds Wax Museum even took to social media on Sunday to poke fun at the Musée Grévin, sharing a video of Johnson saying “Here we go” to Instagram, along with the caption: “Us when we see someone else try to make a wax figure of @therock,” and a crying laughing emoji.
“A toast to our Madame Tussauds artists who nailed it!” the museum added.
