A Polish video game developer is launching “IS Defense”, a game where the player defends the “old continent” of Europe from a terrorist invasion.
Destructive Creations, the game’s unapologetically politically incorrect creators, say the game is “our personal veto against what is happening in the Middle East nowadays.”
“Killing terrorists is xenophobic? Cool, so call me xenophobic, as I would like to shoot evil people”, they wrote on Facebook.
Predictably, the liberal media is not impressed, branding the game “far right” and “Islamophobic”.
The company’s controversial CEO did not shy away from the suggestion that there was an anti-migrant as well as anti-terrorist undercurrent to the game.
Responding to criticism, he argued that, “Muslim immigrants are not adapting to European culture and customs”, and said he did not understand, “what in actual fuck is wrong about nationalism”.
The games description touts: “IS Defense is a game set in politically fictional year 2020 – where the expansion of ISIS went out of control.
“They took over all of Northern Africa, spreading their genocidal understanding of the world’s order.
“Strongly armed, vast in numbers and prepared for everything, the Islamic State is launching the invasion against Europe over the entire Mediterranean Sea.
“The player takes on the role of NATO’s stationary machine-gun operator, deployed to defend the shores of Europe.
“His task is to blast as many of the invaders as possible, until his glorious death.”
The part Murdoch owned ‘punk rock’ youth magazine VICE said that: “IS Defense, like Donald Trump and nationalist parties across Europe, is blaming refugees for the crimes committed by the people they’re trying to escape.”
Claiming that: “IS Defense isn’t saying it in black and white, but what it’s not very subtly saying in between the lines is that foreigners of this particular variety are bad and should be treated with extreme prejudice”.
Destructive Creations CEO, Jarosław Zieliński, has been accused of “Islamophobia” and “nationalism” in the past. Responding to the accusation he said:
“I was accused, because I ‘liked’ the ‘Polish Defence League’ fanpage on Facebook, which is clearly anti-Islamic, not nationalist.
“These are two different things. Some of us have pretty right-wing political opinions, but it’s all based on logical thinking, not on hate-fueled fanaticism. Including me. And I still don’t get what in actual fuck is wrong about nationalism?
“People confuse and mix that term, making it equal to Nazisim, fascism, and chauvinism. There’s nothing wrong about being patriotic and dedicated to take care of your people and culture.”
He also said he believed many so-called ‘refugees’ did not want to integrated into European culture and that there were definitely terrorists among them.
“ISIS [said a] few years ago they will smuggle their members among so called ‘refugees’ and they actually do, we all know that, I suppose? That’s the first thing,” he said.
Continuing: “Second is that sorry, but I don’t believe in the positive intentions of most of these ‘refugees.’ Most of them are coming to Europe to live as lazy-ass social funding suckers. Not for honest work, not to bring anything positive here.
“Of course, there are some good people among them, who are simply seeking a better life and I don’t have anything against them. But it’s a small minority among these masses.
“Third thing is that these Muslim immigrants are not adapting to European culture and customs and they don’t intend to and don’t even try to convince me it is different.
“I believe most of Europeans know that nothing good is coming from taking a shitload of these immigrants. So there’s nothing to demonize, they’ve demonized themselves”.
His opinions about Islam in general were less than favorable.
“Also, there’s nothing about Muslims in general to demonise, just read their holy book and some things are going to be obvious. And don’t believe in ‘it’s a matter of interpretation’ attitude, as it’s complete bullshit”, he concluded.
The game will be release tomorrow, the 19th of April 2016. It will be available on seam for €6.66 and can be ordered here.
