A dramatic video has emerged of a pregnant woman clinging on for life to a window ledge above the Bataclan theatre in the middle of the massacre in Paris.
The video shows the woman holding on for life as people rush out of the door below her, leaving a trail of blood as they drag their injured friends. Dead bodies pile up in the exit.
The footage was taken by Le Monde journalist Daniel Psenny from his flat window. Later, he was also injured after being shot in the arm through the window.
Four masked terrorists armed with AK-47s stormed the rock concert while more than 1,000 people watched the band Eagles of Death Metal. They then detonated their suicide vests as police stormed the building.
Mr Psenny said: “Sometimes there are some rough evacuations but at that moment, everyone was running from all sides, I saw guys on the floor, blood … I understood that it was serious.
“I opened the door of the building, and there was a man lying on the sidewalk. With another man, I pulled him into the lobby.”
One witness said: “They fired into the crowd and people tried to escape but the attackers said: ‘If you move, we’ll kill you.'”
The attackers then said: “What’s happening to you, is your fault. We are avenging our brothers in Syria.”
Another witness told AFP: “At first, we thought it was part of the show but we quickly understood. They were three I think and they were just firing into the crowd. They were armed with big guns, I imagine Kalashnikovs, it was a hell of a noise. They didn’t stop firing.
“There was blood everywhere, corpses everywhere. We heard screaming. Everyone was trying to flee. They had 20 hostages, and we could hear them talking with them.”
