Losing Labour leadership candidate Liz Kendall has released a new video entitled “An Open Letter to the Labour Party,” asking for people to support her over the insurgent socialist Jeremy Corbyn.
With ballot papers going out to Labour members this week, the candidates are all in search of that last, major, “hail mary” play to swing the election in their favour.
So Ms. Kendall, a Blairite candidate of the highest order, has taken to releasing an Apple advert, starring her, a shiny watch, and an iMac.
I count no fewer than 15 appearances of identifiable Apple products, of which three appear in total, over the course of her 1 minute and 49 second long video.
“But how else is she supposed to look like she’s typing a meaningful letter to the party’s impoverish base?” you ask?
Well, maybe by not writing it on a £2000 computer, and uploading the video to YouTube? How about, you know… actually writing to them? Who else reckons that “Liz_letter_to_members.docx” file will reach, well, no one, in hard copy?
