Authorities have found 68 immigrants locked in a container at Harwich Port in Essex.
Seven of them, two of whom are believed to be pregnant, have been taken to Colchester Hospital suffering from non life-threatening chest and abdominal pains. The rest are in the custody of UK Border Agency officials.
The immigrants were discovered at around 10pm last night, the East of England Ambulance Service said. Matthew Broad from the ambulance service said the immigrants were “a number of mixed nationals from a number of countries, European and further afield”.
The Daily Mail says their nationalities are not yet known, although the container is believed to have been shipped from the Netherlands.
