WATCH: Labour’s ‘Bennett Moment’ Candidate Cannot Remember a Single Manifesto Policy

Labour's candidate in Brentford and Isleworth has a Bennett moment.

A Labour parliamentary candidate has become the latest politician to have a ‘Natalie Bennett Moment’ having forgotten all of her party’s policies. Ruth Cadbury, Labour candidate for Brentford and Isleworth was floored by a relatively simple question from a 20-year-old student.

Nick Raikes from the website The Chiswick Calendar, asked Cadbury to outline her party’s key policies in the manifesto. She responded by saying: “Oh god I do need to check them… I mean I’m reading them every day.”

The ‘Natalie Bennett Moment’ is named after the Green Party leader who regularly forgets some policies and is unable to explain the finer details of others. She calls those moments a ‘brain fade.’
