Hollywood star Martin Freeman, famous for starring in The Hobbit, The Office and Love Actually, has appeared in a video endorsing Labour at the general election. The 43-year-old actor does not mention Ed Miliband in the video but does launch an attack on the Conservatives.
During the video Freeman reads out a series of claims, including one that the Conservatives will take the country on a “rollercoaster of cuts” while Labour will “make sure the economy works for all of us, not just the privileged few, like me, but it’s not just about that”.
According to Guido Fawkes Mr Freeman allowed his partner to go bankrupt over a £120k tax bill, despite being worth £10m himself. This led the site to claim he was a tax dodger.
