Hate-preacher Anjem Choudary's Oslo Ally Calls Homosexuality 'A Nasty, Cruel Disease'

A Norwegian Islamist extremist with links to Anjem Choudary, the London-based hate preacher who wants to establish an Islamic state in Britain, has launched a Facebook campaign against the Europride festival in Oslo this week.

The Local reports that Ubaydullah Hussain was linked earlier this year with Egzon Avdyli, a 25-year-old from Oslo who was reported killed fighting in Syria with jihadist forces.

Following reports of Avdyli’s death, Hussain declared him a martyr in a Facebook post. Included in the post was a picture of Avdyli and Hussain standing on each side of Choudary.

Hussain is the former leader of a Norwegian Islamist group called the Prophet’s Ummah, which praised Osama Bin Laden and supported jihad. The British hate-preacher Choudary has been quoted in the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten saying: “There are no formal links between us, but I am a mentor and advisor for the organisation.”

Now Hussain has set up a Facebook page with a picture of a rainbow flag in flames: “This group is created to show our opposition to ‘gay pride’ (which is really gay shame),” he wrote.

The Facebook page, called “Stop homosexuals on Olso’s streets,” says homosexuality is “a nasty and cruel disease,” which is forbidden by the Koran.

According to the Local, Stein Runar Østigård, the chairman of Oslo Pride, said Islamic opposition to the festival had “almost become a tradition”.
