News outlets are today running stories about the resurgence of the ‘King of Clubs’, Izzat Ibrahim al Douri, known for his striking bloodnut moustache, and when he had it, I’m sure, hair.

Al Douri is described by Sky News as “the most senior surviving member of Saddam Hussein’s inner circle” – his face was printed on the King of Clubs playing card when U.S. forces issued their most wanted list during the invasion of Iraq.

Now, he appears to have struck up an alliance of former Saddam colleagues, who in turn are in league with the terrorist outfit Isis, which is terrorising Syria and Iraq.

But I could only think of one thing when I saw pictures of al Douri for the first time in half a decade. I thought… is that Breaking Bad’s Walter White?

No, come on, it is totally Bryan Cranston… isn’t it?

Well at least Galloway knows who to approach if he ever does his movie. I hear Cranston is indefatigable…
