WESTMINSTER, London, United Kingdom – Today, activists and a Member of the British Parliament gathered outside of the House of Commons in London to show their support for Israel’s search for three young boys who were kidnapped in the West Bank last Thursday

The #BringBackOurBoys demonstrations was in keeping with support for Israel from around the globe, and used the same hashtag that has been used tens of thousands of times, echoing the #BringBackOurGirls protests used by politicians and celebrities when terrorists outfit Boko Haram kidnapped dozens of girls in Nigeria.

The event was supported by the Breitbart London news website, and primarily organised by Managing Editor Raheem Kassam and Conservative Member of Parliament Robert Halfon.

Robert Halfon MP said: “I thank Breitbart London for bringing to attention the tragic plight of these kidnapped Israeli teenagers. There are clearly sinister forces at play and one can’t help but wonder if these actions are a deliberate distraction in order to provoke Israel to deflect attention from what is happening in Iraq.

“It is vital that everyone in the free world sends a message to Hamas and Islamic Jihad that this kind of terrorism will not be tolerated.”

Raheem Kassam said: “It is imperative that the world get to grips with what kind of terrorists Israel is forced to deal with on a daily basis. It seems so far removed from our daily lives, and the media is so slanted against Israel that we often forget: the only Jewish state in the world is surrounded by those who are hostile to it and who want to see it destroyed. On this basis they will do anything to harm the country including kidnapping teenagers. The international community must be clear that this is unacceptable.”

The gathering took place at 5pm under the clock tower often known as ‘Big Ben’. The Elizabeth Tower, as it is actually named, is a key London landmark and sits besides the Houses of Parliament – the home of both legislative chambers of the UK government.
