WATCH: Jordanian Journalists Destroy TV Studio in Fight During Syrian Civil War Debate

Two Jordanian journalists became embroiled in a fight on live TV in which they completely destroyed the set. Shaker Al-Johari and Mohammed Al-Jayousi were debating Syria’s ongoing civil war when they disagreed so strongly that they started fighting.

The Daily Mail reports that the two men started hurling abuse at one another when Mr Al-Jayousi voiced his support for Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad. The debate then descended further into chaos when Mr Al-Jayousi called Mr Al-Johari “deviant” for supporting the Syrian rebels. Mr Al-Johari hit back by claiming Al-Jayousi was supporting the Syrian government in exchange for money.

The host, Zuhair Al-Azza, was powerless to intervene as Al-Johari got up from his seat and the two then started shoving the table, eventually causing it to collapse, and then using the top as a weapon.

They then started kicking one another in the shin before production staff intervened and pulled the men apart.

Al-Johari is head of Jordan’s Electronic Media Association, while Al-Jayousi is editor-in-chief of new site Al-Mustaqbal Al-Arabi.
