People like to pretend that Nigel Farage is just ‘some bloke’ who simply shoots from the hip. It’s not true.

He’s actually a very credible politician, with some very well rehearsed lines, on issues he knows an awful lot about.

Take a look at the video below for instance, which shows excerpts from the Clegg-Farage debate of April 2nd, and a speech Farage gave to the European Parliament in early March.

Clegg underestimated Farage’s talents by a factor of infinity in challenging him to two very public debates. But more on that tomorrow.

P.S. Some clever clog is bound to try and point out that a month ago Farage said TWO coal power stations a week, whereas today he said FOUR. But let’s see if they fall for the trap. In one video he was only talking about China. In the other, he was talking about India and China. Let’s see who thinks 2+2 doesn’t equal 4.
