Celebrated singer John Legend proposed a “deal” with the Trump administration, saying as soon as illegal immigrant families are reunited members of Trump’s  White House can eat in public without fear of harassment.

“Let’s make a deal with the Trump Administration,” Legend wrote on Twitter. “Reunite all these families immediately and you can go out to eat wherever the fuck you want.”

The Grammy and Academy Award-winner’s comments come after White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders revealed on Saturday she had been heckled and kicked out of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, by the owner because she worked for the Trump administration.

Other members of the administration, such as policy aide Stephen Miller and the Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielson, have also been routinely harassed in public venues, raising concern that White House personnel may need permanent security and accept restricted freedom in their personal lives.

Earlier on Monday, Legend also said he was “very comfortable” with the harassment of White House staff as a means of political protest.

“Bottom line is that I’m very comfortable with a non-violent form of social censure being visited upon people who implement and defend such intentionally harmful policies,” the 39-year-old singer tweeted Monday. “Far less pain is being visited upon Sarah et al than these families at the border. Shame on the whole lot.”

Meanwhile, Legend’s wife, TV show host Christine Teigen, also weighed in on the debate, claiming that Sanders’s support for the right of a Colorado baker not to make a cake for a same-sex wedding was hypocritical.

“Didn’t you morons get your panties in a wad defending the baker that didn’t want to make cakes for gay couples?” Teigen wrote in response to Sanders’ tweet.

The increased public pressure on Trump White House officials comes amid intense criticism of the administration’s policy on illegal immigration, that saw some parents separated from their children. However, Trump later reversed the policy, meaning families will now be detained together.

Legend and Teigen remain two of the music industry’s most vociferous critics of the Trump administration. The “All of Me” singer has previously described Trump as “corrupt” and “one of the worst people I’ve ever encountered,” while Teigen has blamed Trump for a deterioration of her mental health, claiming that his presidency has given her “crippling anxiety”
