Jodie Foster reprised her Oscar-winning role as FBI agent Clarice Starling from the 1991 horror film The Silence of the Lambs for a skit on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show Friday night, in which she attempts to get information on possible collusion between President Donald Trump and Russia from an imprisoned Hannibal Lecter, played by Colbert.

“You’re one of [Robert] Mueller’s, aren’t you?” Colbert asks Foster, referring to the Special Counsel investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian officials. “Still hunting President Trump?”

“We were golfing buddies once,” Colbert-as-Lecter continues. “We ate our caddie, turned him into a taco bowl with a nice Diet Coke.”

“Doctor, what can you tell me about the president?” Foster asks.

“What is his nature? What does he do, this man you seek?” Colbert replies.

“He’s an idiot, who says the first thing that comes to mind,” Foster offers.

She goes on to recount her worst memory of the election: “One night, on a Tuesday, Donald Trump won the presidency, and then I heard a strange noise. It sounded like a scream, some kind of screaming. I crept into the living room, and the TV was on. I was so scared, so scared. MSNBC, the anchors. They were crying.”

Colbert then asks Foster what she’s got on the Trump investigation herself, and is shocked when she lists the available evidence so far, including indictments against former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

“I want to come in there with you,” Foster tells Colbert. “It seems safer in there than it does out here.”

CBS’s Late Show has nearly totally transformed since Colbert took over hosting duties from David Letterman in September 2015 and made it the premiere destination in late-night for attacking Trump. Colbert has stirred outrage over several of his previous anti-Trump skits, including one in which he drew a swastika on a chalkboard to condemn Trump and one in which he called Trump’s mouth “Vladimir Putin’s c*ck holster.” The latter comment sparked complaints to the FCC, though the show was not penalized.

Foster won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in The Silence of The Lambs, while Anthony Hopkins, who played Hannibal Lecter, won Best Actor.
