Actor Chris Pratt took to social media on Friday to warn his fans of a “pervy dude” who he claims had been impersonating him online as a ploy to attract his female fans.

“It’s confirmed: somebody is trying to pretend to be me on Facebook (and maybe other social media platforms) apparently hitting on a lot of different female fans, trying to get their numbers and who knows what else. I’m not joking,” the 38-year-old wrote in an Instagram post.

“It terrifies me to think someone could be hurt, their feelings or much worse, by this imposter/potential predator,” Pratt continued. “I’ve had many, many people tell me about this. It’s not an isolated incident. If anyone is in contact with this person block them immediately. If it’s you doing it, I’m warning you. Stop right now or you will be very unhappy with the outcome.”

Pratt also threatened to “punch [the imposter] right in the GD [god damn] mouth,” before urging him to “go find Jesus”.

According to the BBC, the account had racked up an impressive 100,000 likes, although has since been pulled by Facebook for a violation of their community standards.

“Claiming to be another person on Facebook violates our Community Standards, and we have a dedicated team that’s tasked with helping to detect and block these kinds of scams,” a Facebook spokesperson told Page Six.

“It’s an area we’re continually working to improve so that we can provide a safe and secure experience on Facebook,” they continued.

Tensions over sexual impropriety are currently high across Hollywood, amidst a sexual abuse scandal that has engulfed dozens of influential figures across the industry.
