The rapper B.O.B has set up a crowd-funded campaign to prove the Earth is flat, which involves launching multiple satellites into space to disprove the current scientific consensus that the Earth is round.

The rapper, whose real name is Bobby Ray Simmons Jr and whose most successful hits include songs such as “Airplanes” and “Nothin’ On You,” has long been a proponent of the Flat Earth theory and is known for reeling off dozens of tweets designed to prove it.

However, he has now taken his campaign a step further, by setting up a crowd-funding effort to purchase and launch one, if not multiple, satellites into space. As of Tuesday afternoon, he had raised a meager $1,781 of his $100 million goal.

“I’m starting this GoFundMe because I would like to send one, if not multiple satellites, as far into space as I can, or into orbit as I can, to find the curve,” he said in a video on the page. “I’m looking for the curve.”

The “curve” is a crucial element of Flat Earther’s theories, with believers arguing that if the Earth were actually round, then the curvature would be more visible to the naked eye.

“When/if you do make sure you let me know,” one donor wrote. “I’ve been trying to tell folks that there is no curve, therefore the Earth is not a globe”.

“Let’s prove once and for all that the government has been lying to us, another donor, named Ben Kelly wrote. “It’s time for the era of manufactured artificial intelligence to end and enlightenment to begin. Fight the power! Go Eagles!”

The campaign to prove the world is flat has previously received endorsements from celebrities including basketball player Kyrie Irving, porn actress Tila Tequila and American football star Sammy Watkins.
