Miss North Dakota, Cara Mund, answered the Trump-hating question “correctly,” and she is now Miss America.

Miss Missouri, Jennifer Davis, did not answer the Trump-hating question “correctly,” and now she is not Miss America. She came in second. Did this question make the difference?

In a country where Leftists have successfully hyper-politicized everything from football to weather to coffee, is there now a leftwing political litmus test for anyone who wants to become Miss America?

Well, now that the pageant has decided to get political and partisan, that is a fair question to ask. Especially when the above scenario plays out the way it did, when the winner does the “correct” thing and rips into Trump:

JUDGE: One hundred and ninety-five countries signed the Paris Agreement, in which each country sets non-binding goals to reduce man-made climate change. The U.S. is withdrawing from the agreement citing negligible environmental effects and negative economic impact. Good decision, bad decision? Which is it, and why?

MISS NORTH DAKOTA: I do believe it’s a bad decision, once we reject that we take ourselves out of the negotiation table. And that’s something we really need to keep in mind. There is evidence that climate change is existing so whether you believe it or not, we need to be at that table and I think it’s just a bad decision on behalf of the United States.

Ding-ding-ding-ding! You are Miss America!!

On the other hand:

JUDGE: There are multiple investigations into whether Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia on the election. Well, did they? You’re the jury: guilty or innocent and please explain your verdict.

MISS MISSOURI: Right now I have to say innocent, because not enough information has been revealed. We are still investigating this and I think we should investigate it to its fullest extent. If we do find the evidence that they have had collusion with Russia, the justice system should do their due diligence and they should be punished accordingly.

BZZZZZzzzZZzzzzZZZZzzz… Thanks so much for playing Miss Missouri! And be sure to pick up your consolation prize on the way out!

In fairness to ABC and the Miss America pageant, another contestant answered a Trump-hating question about Charleston “correctly”…

I think that the white supremacist issue, it was very obvious it was a terrorist attack. And I think that President Donald Trump should have made a statement earlier addressing the fact, and making sure all Americans feel safe in the country. That’s the number one issue right now!

…but there can only be one Miss America.

And it also doesn’t hurt that our brand-spanking new Miss America showed just how “correct” she is in an interview “before the preliminary event“:

“It’s important to have a woman’s perspective,” she said, stressing the importance of women in important government jobs. “In health care and on reproductive rights, it’s predominantly men making those decisions.”

We have seen this before. Back in 2009 Carrie Prejean lost the Miss USA crown and had her life and career eviscerated by the left and the media after she failed to answer a gay marriage question “correctly.”

Damn your conscience. If you fail to hold the “correct” views, our media and popular culture destroys and intimidates you with blacklists and hate campaigns. That is just a fact of life in America today.
