In these trying times, Jackie Mason is the Voice of Reason.
Jackie doesn’t pull any punches in this week’s exclusive clip for Breitbart News, going after President Donald Trump for failing to secure a deal to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare.
“Every day, the announcements are closer, the announcements are bigger, the timing is better, the chances are bigger, we’re getting a lot closer, except for one thing: it caved in again,” Jackie says. “It keeps caving in. Trump is supposed to be this big dealmaker, the greatest dealmaker, The Art of the Deal. Maybe he knows the art of the deal, but somehow he can’t seem to make a deal.”
Trump’s been a winner at practically everything, Jackie says. He’s a billionaire, he defeated more than a dozen other contenders for the GOP presidential nomination, and ultimately defeated the better-favored Hillary Clinton in the general election, against all odds.
Trump’s problem, argues Jackie, is that he’s forgotten how to make deals and has become simply an “announcer,” who announces when the deals are closer, or dead.
“Could you please tell me how you forgot the art of the deal?” Jackie presses. “Could you please tell me how you knew how to make a deal all your life until now? How you could beat everybody except this problem? Why is this the only thing you can’t seem to do? What is it about Obamacare that seems to be too much for you? Why is this such a fantastic puzzle that you can’t seem to figure it out?”
Jackie’s solution: go back and re-read The Art of the Deal.
“Look into yourself. Find out what you did before and see if you could do it again,” he says. “You know what the problem is? You wrote a book called The Art of the Deal and you forgot what’s written in the book. Buy the book, or find the book. I’m sure you’ve got enough money to pay for that book… Take out six dollars, buy that book, and find out what the art of the deal is. And as soon as you buy that book, you’ll become a new president again!”
