Blumhouse TV acquired the rights to a New York Times bestselling book about Steve Bannon for a possible series about his role in the election of President Donald Trump.
According to Deadline Hollywood, the studio won the rights of the book Devil’s Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, and the Storming of the Presidency by Bloomberg Businessweek reporter Joshua Green.
The book examines Bannon’s life and role in the conservative movement as an antagonist of the Clintons and an executive chairman for Breitbart News before he helped guide the Trump campaign to victory.
It’s unclear what the potential show will be called and too soon to say what television network will air it.
Green will be involved in the development of the project, according to the report.
Blumhouse TV is the same studio behind the upcoming Showtime series Secure and Hold, about late Fox News founder Roger Ailes.
