Paramount released the first trailer for its upcoming comedy sequel Daddy’s Home 2 on Thursday.
Mel Gibson and John Lithgow join the cast for the second installment, playing the fathers of Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell’s characters, respectively. The trailer promises more of the goofiness of the first film, with Gibson’s alpha-dog dad character telling jokes about “dead hookers” to his grandchildren, while Ferrell kisses his dad on the lips when he picks him up from the airport.
The first Daddy’s Home opened to $38 million over Christmas weekend in 2015 on its way to a $150 million domestic haul and $242 million internationally.
John Cena, Linda Cardellini, and Alessandra Ambrosio co-star. Sean Anders returns to write and direct.
Daddy’s Home 2 is in theaters November 10.
