Grammy Award-nominated singer Ariana Grande is being sued for copyright infringement over her 2014 hit single “One Last Time.”

Songwriter Alex Greggs claims, according to a TMZ report, that Grande’s song lifted the hook and several lyrics from a 2011 Skye Stevens track, “Takes All Night,” which Greggs wrote.

Grande’s “One Last Time,” co-written by acclaimed hit-maker David Guetta, went straight to the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold more than one million copies, according to Recording Industry Association of America.

Greggs has produced hit singles for Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, and Michael and Janet Jackson.

So far, neither party has mentioned the purported lawsuit on their respective social media platforms.

Grande just cannot seem to stay away from bad press. Last July, the pop star was caught on camera licking donuts at Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California, while the shop’s employees had their backs turned. After licking a donut and leaving it on the tray, Grande was heard saying, “I hate Americans. I hate America.”

That incident soiled her reputation and also apparently cost the 23-year-old star a high-profile performance in front of President Obama at a White House gala.
