Nearly three dozen of Hollywood’s biggest Hillary Clinton supporters lent their voices to a star-studded “Fight Song” music video that premiered Tuesday night during the Democratic National Convention.
Produced by Pitch Perfect actress-director Elizabeth Banks, the video features actresses Eva Longoria, Connie Britton, America Ferrera and Jane Fonda and singers Mandy Moore and Sia coming together for an a capella version of Rachel Platten’s hit “Fight Song,” which has been a fixture at Clinton campaign events.
Banks, Alan Cumming, Mary-Louise Parker, Idina Menzel, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Rob Reiner also appear.
The video made its debut during the Democratic National Convention Tuesday night.
Banks served as the night’s official “host,” taking the stage to Queen’s “We Are the Champions” in a move meant to mock Donald Trump’s entrance at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last week.
“I’m Elizabeth Banks,” the actress introduced herself. “Some of you know me from The Hunger Games, in which I play Effie Trinket, a cruel, out of touch reality TV star who wears insane wigs while delivering long-winded speeches to a violent dystopia. So when I tuned in to Cleveland last week, I was like, ‘Uh, hey, that’s my act.’”
The second night of the convention featured appearances from celebrities including Lena Dunham, America Ferrera, Meryl Streep, Debra Messing, Andra Day, Alicia Keys and Scandal star Tony Goldwyn. Actresses Eva Longoria and Sarah Silverman delivered speeches on the first night.
