More than 100 black celebrities and activists and Compton Mayor Aja Brown convened a meeting at the home of actor Cedric the Entertainer on Wednesday night to discuss potential solutions to the racial tension that has flared up across the country in recent weeks.

According to TMZ, the three-hour meeting was attended by rappers T.I. and The Game, actors Jesse Williams, Omar Epps and Meagan Good and Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Lawson.

The meeting was reportedly called to discuss peaceful solutions following the high-profile and widely publicized police-involved shooting deaths of two African-American men, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, earlier this month.

“Everyone shared their objectives, opinions & views on political, non-political & everyday issues that have plagued us as a people for hundreds of years,” attendee The Game wrote of the meeting on Instagram.

The rapper encouraged communities of all people to come together and work in unison to bury our problems “once and for all.”

“This is a fight for everyone. Not just blacks, but everyone & all races, ethnicities, cities, states, countries & continents were brought up & we had a very peaceful meeting where voices from all entertainment groups were heard & no leaf was left unturned,” he wrote.

The Game’s lengthy post continued: “Keep an open dialogue with one another & that will resonate in the lives that we are all trying to save going forward, especially OUR YOUTH !!! WE ALL MATTER & tonite we took another stab at the end goal & that is to BETTER THIS WORLD NOW, not just for the moment but to make an impact that will drive out NEGATIVITY & welcome LOVE worldwide.”

Over the weekend, The Game joined forces with fellow California rapper Snoop Dogg and led a march for peace to the Los Angeles Police Department’s headquarters where a press conference was held by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck.

In the wake of the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, the two men killed in separate police-involved shootings earlier this month, The Game and his eldest son Harlem initiated the “A Good Son for a Good Cop” fundraiser that raised more than $71,000 on behalf of Little Rock, Arkansas police officer Tommy Norman, a white officer known for spending quality time with children within the predominantly black communities he serves.
