Celebrities from both the United Kingdom and the United States took to social media on Thursday night and Friday to react to the U.K.’s historic vote Thursday to leave the European Union.
Most celebrities, including British author J.K. Rowling, late-night host James Corden and comedian Ricky Gervais reacted with disbelief and sadness to the news.
However, a small number celebrated the vote, including actress Elizabeth Hurley and comedian Roseanne Barr, who called it a “working class revolution.”
