Rock legend Meat Loaf is said to be “stable and in good condition” after he collapsed during a concert Thursday night in Edmonton, Alberta.

Chilling video shows the singer dropping his microphone and crashing to the floor during a performance of his classic song “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).” Fellow bandmates can be seen rushing to Meat Loaf’s side as the music cuts out.

“His vital signs are stable and normal — he’s responsive and recovering well,” the 68-year-old’s official Facebook fan page said in a press statement.

Stunned concertgoers were asked to evacuate Edmonton’s Jubilee Auditorium as Meat Loaf was rushed to a nearby hospital.

“He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery,” the rocker’s Facebook page said.

Meat Loaf was said to have looked weak and woozy earlier in the night, according to one witness.

“It was him forgetting words, he wasn’t on cue, but it was forgiveable,” Mikey McBryan told the Associated Press. “We’re all loving it and going crazy, and then it just took a turn for the worst.”

Meat Loaf had cancelled a show at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary earlier this week due to illness.

Thursday night’s incident was not the first time that Meat Loaf has collapsed on stage.

In 2011, the musician received medical attention on stage during a concert in Pittsburgh. He quickly recovered and finished his set. In 2003, he collapsed during a show in London and was rushed to a hospital.

Meat Loaf won a Grammy Award for “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).” He’s also been featured in a number of TV and major feature films, including Fight Club and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

His 13th studio album, Braver Than We Are, is schedule to be released this fall.
