Reality TV queen Kim Kardashian took to Twitter Sunday to scold Congress for not passing gun controls laws in the wake of the deadly terror attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida that left 49 people dead and another 53 injured by a Muslim gunman who reportedly pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.
Kardashian hammered federal lawmakers for not passing a law that would close the “loophole” that allows “people on terror watch lists (to) legally buy guns.”
Kardashian concluded by asking her 45.9 million followers: “When will these gun laws be changed?”
Early indications are that Mateen was removed from the FBI’s terrorist watch list after he was cleared of having any ties to Islamist groups or terror cells. And federal officials have not yet confirmed whether or not Mateen was on the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) No-Fly List.
The 35-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and social media maven has spent years calling for more gun control laws.
Following the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, Kardashian tweeted her support for more gun laws.
Kardashian’s latest gun control tweets, however, were slammed by scores of social media users.
One user pointed out that “gun control ain’t the problem.”
Another user made the point that had Mateen not been able to acquire guns, he would have used some other deadly device to carry out his deadly plot.

Someone else asked the reality TV star if she wanted her “armed” bodyguards’ guns taken away.
One user said that with Kardashian’s 49 million Twitter followers, she has the “perfect platform to try and help the world.” But instead, she’s too “busy posting nudes.”
Indeed, Kardashian did post a bikini-clad selfie to Twitter just hours before posting the series of messages about gun control.
Other Twitter users encouraged Kardashian to do some “homework” on how gun laws only “impact law abiding citizens.”
