Jennifer Lawrence feels so much pressure in Hollywood that she has apparently cried for other rich, famous people who have experienced it.
The 25-year-old Oscar-winning actress made a surprise admission during a press junket for her latest film, X-Men: Apocalypse, in London on Monday.
“I was crying about the Kardashians the other night,” Lawrence told E! News.
“They’re under a lot of pressure,” the Hunger Games star added. “Even if it’s elective, it’s pressure — and I get that!”
Lawrence is apparently something of a Keeping Up with the Kardashians super-fan. For her birthday last year, her friends gifted her a visit from family matriarch and “momager” Kris Jenner. The pair reportedly sang karaoke together before snapping a photo on the actress’ bed.
Kim Kardashian once described meeting Lawrence in an interview with the Sun newspaper last year.
“I was in NYC and I ran into Jennifer Lawrence,” Kardashian told the paper. “We said ‘Hi’ and walked into the elevator and as the doors were closing, she screamed across the lobby, ‘I love your show.’ We were laughing so hard.”
Lawrence has previously opened up about the immense pressure she faces as an actress in Hollywood.
“I cannot live in Los Angeles anymore. I don’t understand how actors can do it,” she said in 2012. “I don’t want to stay in L.A. and start thinking that’s reality–because it’s very far from normal. You have no life here. You are followed everywhere. It’s not like that anywhere else in the world.”
Last year, Lawrence said her superstar stature in Hollywood can be intimidating to men and that as a result, she’s had trouble finding dates.
“No one ever asks me out. I am lonely every Saturday night,” Lawrence told Vogue magazine. “Guys are so mean to me. I know where it’s coming from, I know they’re trying to establish dominance, but it hurts my feelings. I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow.”
X-Men: Apocalypse is in theaters May 27.
