Kid Rock is “beyond devastated” after he discovered the body of his personal assistant on his property near Nashville, Tennessee on Monday following an ATV accident.

The musician and another individual found Michael Sacha, 30, lifeless on an embankment on Kid Rock’s Whites Creek property late Monday, police confirmed to The Tennessean. The pair then called for help.

Sacha was reportedly ferrying guests to an Uber car late Sunday night when he crashed. The man was deceased by the time first responders arrived on scene.

Metro Nashville PD confirmed Sacha’s accidental death on Twitter:

“He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with,” the rocker said in a statement. “I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I cannot imagine how they must feel.”

Kid Rock added: “We’ve already been contacted by the press asking if it was me who was in the accident, so I want to stop any rumors before they spread.”

The rocker, who is legally named Robert Ritchie, was reportedly scheduled to return to his home state of Michigan on Monday, but stayed in Tennessee so he could bring Sacha “home to his family.”

“I’m asking everyone to please respect our and his families’ privacy in this difficult time. RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend,” Kid Rock said.
