Celebrities took to social media on Wednesday to celebrate after U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew decided to replace Andrew Jackson’s image on the $20 bill with that of abolitionist Harriet Tubman.
Stars including Orange is the New Black actress Uzo Aduba, along with Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Shonda Rhimes posted celebratory messages on Twitter Wednesday praising the change. Tubman, the 19th century abolitionist and leader of the Underground Railroad, will be the first woman to appear on U.S. currency in 100 years.
