The profanity-laced lyrics praising Red Lobster in Beyoncé’s anti-police song, “Formation,” have reportedly resulted in a windfall for the Florida-based seafood chain.
Red Lobster said its sales soared 33 percent on Sunday from the previous year, CNN reports.
In the five minute song release on Saturday, Beyoncé repeatedly says, “When he f**k me good I take his ass to Red Lobster.”
Grateful for the free publicity, Red Lobster fired off the following tweet:
The politically charged video for “Formation” was reenacted Sunday at the Super Bowl. Beyoncé and a band of Black Panther-clad dancers put on a show that honored the 1960s radical group and Malcolm X.
