‘Hateful Eight’ Star Samuel L. Jackson: Muslim Americans Are ‘the New Young Black Men’

In a wide-ranging interview full of questionable and downright disgraceful opinions, veteran actor and Hateful Eight star Samuel L. Jackson said that an increase in racial profiling sentiment following recent terror attacks is turning Muslim Americans into “the new young black men.”

Jackson told The Hollywood Reporter over the weekend:

When that thing happened in France, we were sitting there going, ‘Oh, my God, these terrorists!’ And I can’t even tell you how much that day the thing that happened in San Bernardino — I was in Hawaii — how much I really wanted that to just be another, you know, crazy white dude, and not really some Muslims, because it’s like: ‘Oh, shit. It’s here. And it’s here in another kind of way.’ Now, okay, it happened on an Army base and it happened somewhere else. But now? It’s like they have a legitimate reason now to look at your Muslim neighbor, friend, whatever in another way. And they become the new young black men.

The Hateful Eight star, a self-described “lifelong Democrat,” told the magazine he’ll cast his vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016, and accused Republican frontrunner Donald Trump of running his campaign on “hate.”

Jackson also hypothesized that the “blue wall” brotherhood of police officers is made of up PTSD-suffering war veterans who cannot be trusted.
