Glee co-star Mark Salling has been arrested in Los Angeles on child pornography charges.
The Los Angeles Police Departments Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit served a search warrant at Salling’s Sunland, California, home early Tuesday morning.
Sources told TMZ that police conducted a search of Salling’s computer and found hundreds of sexual images of children under the age of 16. A source also told the gossip site that police initiated the investigation after they were tipped off by one of Salling’s former girlfriends.
According to “Crime Watch Daily,” Salling, 33, was arrested Tuesday morning on a charge of felony possession of child pornography.
LAPD officer Aaron Jefferson confirmed to the Daily Mail that Salling is currently being held in Los Angeles’ downtown jail.
Salling is best known for his role as Noah “Puck” Puckerman on the Fox series Glee.
Earlier this year, he settled a sexual battery lawsuit with his former girlfriend, Roxanne Gorzela. Gorzela accused Salling of forcing her to have unprotected sex with him in 2011.
Gorzela claimed that Salling physically assaulted her when she confronted him about fears she had contracted an STD from him.
Salling reportedly reached a $2.7 million settlement with Gorzela in March, midway through the trial, after she dropped the sexual battery claim.
Gorzela has not been identified as the girlfriend who might have initiated the child pornography investigation.
