The first trailer for Paramount’s The Little Prince was released online Tuesday.
The animated film, based on the classic 1943 novella of the same name by French pilot and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, follows the exploits of The Little Girl (Mackenzie Foy) as her planned-to-the-minute, perfectly structured world is interrupted by the charismatic old Aviator (Jeff Bridges).
In addition to Bridges, the film’s all-star cast includes Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, James Franco, Marion Cotillard, Benicio del Toro, Vincent Cassel, Paul Giamatti, Ricky Gervais, Albert Brooks, and Bud Cort.
The Little Prince is, of course, one of the most popular books in modern history. According to the New York Times, the novella has been translated into more than 230 languages and dialects and has sold more than 140 million copies worldwide.
Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda) directs off of a script from Irena Brignull (The Boxtrolls) and Bob Persichetti.
The Little Prince hits theaters on March 18, 2016. Check out the trailer above.
