The gang’s all back for another wedding in the first trailer for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.
The action picks up years after the events of the first movie, and Toula (Nia Vardalos) and Ian (John Corbett) are proud parents to an angsty teenage girl (Elena Kampouris).
When the family discovers that Toula’s parents (Michael Constantine and Lainie Kazan, reprising their roles from the first film) never officially got married due to a mistake with their marriage certificate, the shenanigans begin anew for the famously dysfunctional Greek family.
The original My Big Fat Greek Wedding became the highest-grossing independent film of all time upon its release in 2002, before eventually losing that title two years later to The Passion of the Christ.
Kirk Jones (What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Nanny McPhee) directs off a script from Vardalos.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 hits theaters March 25, 2016. Check out the first trailer above.
