Vin Diesel used social media to shut down body-shamers after unflattering pictures of the actor sporting a “dad bod” began circulating online last week.
The usually fit Furious 7 star was photographed (see above) on a Miami balcony last week looking a bit pudgier than normal, and the response was apparently loud enough that the actor felt the need to respond.
Taking to his Instagram page on Sunday after spending the day promoting his new film The Last Witch Hunter, Diesel posted two photos:
“It is amazing the response from the journalists who I have been talking to for the last two days in New York,” the actor captioned the first shot. “Today one wanted to see the dad bod. Haha. I am wondering if I should show the picture… Body-shaming is always wrong! What do you think?” Diesel then silenced his critics for good by posing with his T-shirt rolled up, revealing his trim physique.
“For those who wanted the show,” Diesel wrote. “For all the angels that love dad bod regardless.”
Diesel joins the ranks of countless other celebrities (usually female) who have been body-shamed and fought back, including Alyssa Milano, Tyra Banks, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Osbourne, Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lawrence, and Chrissy Teigen, among many, many others.
